Food banks learning from one another

Today, a team from the Greater Boston Food Bank spent part of the day at Foodshare to observe the Mobile Foodshare program in action.  They are working on developing their own mobile pantry program in the Boston area and wanted to see how Foodshare does it.

Paul Colligan, the Director of Programs in Boston sent this follow-up e-mail:  "Thank you for your hospitality today. You have an outstanding program, which we hope to emulate. If only Alan (the driver on today's Mobile Foodshare) wasn't wearing a Yankee cap we would have made him an offer to come to Boston.  Just kidding.  Alan is great and clearly well received by the community. Please come visit us at any time.  I am sure we will have a question or two after our debriefing next week but promise not too many, we had most all of our questions answered today. Thank you again."

We've learned a lot from other food banks in the Feeding America network over the years and are happy to return the favor from time to time.
