Visiting Mobile Foodshare

Foodshare has a cross-training program that helps our employees understand various aspects of the organization's work.  One of the requirements for everyone is to help out at a Mobile Foodshare site at least once a year.  Today I received an e-mail from Merry, who had just gone on her first Mobile Foodshare visit:

"Well, I just thought I’d share that I did my mobile visit with Alan today, back to back sites in Hartford. 

"Wow—I was really glad to be able to do that and to be helping there.  I even got hugs from the people in line and on site volunteers.  People were full of good mornings and smiles even on a rainy day.  What a good thing to see.

"Thanks for these cross training opportunities."
