Southington Bread for Life

This morning four members of theBoard of Directors, plus the Executive Director, of Bread for Life in Southington, came to Foodshare's Bloomfield distribution center to learn more about how Foodshare acquires food and how we support the programs they offer in Southington.

Bread for Life provides a variety of services to low-income residents of Southington, including a food pantry and a daily hot lunch.  They also work with the Housing Authority to provide meals to low-income seniors and with the school system to provide breakfast to needy children.

I am always impressed with the work that they do and their initiative and creativity and was glad to have a chance to give them a tour this morning!
