Congregation partners

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Congregation Beth Israel SAGE luncheon.  As I told them, I felt right at home, for I have had long relationships with so many people at Beth Israel.  But there were a lot of new faces in the audience and it was good to be able to talk with them about Foodshare's work, including our partnership with the congregation in bringing Mobile Foodshare to West Hartford and their "Mitzvah Day" each year for the Walk Against Hunger.

Usually, their luncheon is catered and everyone contributes $5 toward the cost.  Yesterday, they all brought a brown bag lunch and still gave their $5 to Foodshare!
