One step closer to the door...

Food Sourcing Manager Ernie Pitti is retiring at the end of the week.  Because we have already promoted from within to replace him and then filled the position that was left vacant by the promotion, he found himself without a desk to work at this week.

Lucky for him, our Operations Manager is on vacation, so he has camped out in that office on the first floor for his last few days.  While his co-workers were busy teasing Ernie about being "one step closer to the door," he was busy sending this message to all of his contacts:

"Some of you may already know that  I’m retiring from Foodshare effective the end of this week, and I just want to tell all of you how thankful I am for the kindness, respect, support and help you’ve given me during my stay at Foodshare.  You’ve been an incredible source of inspiration each day.

"Paula Siebers has been promoted to the position of Food Sourcing Manager.  Paula has been with Foodshare about one year and during that time has proven that she has passion for the work, a great personality,  and an extraordinary set of the skills needed to further Foodshare’s mission as well!

"Thank you once again for all the help you’ve given me.  As I begin my retirement, I’ll leave knowing that if I’m a better person, it’s because of all that each of you have shown me!

"Deepest regards,"
