Foodshare was recognized at the Rockville High School and Next STEP Business Partnership Breakfast Friday May 31, 2013. Thanks were offered to each worksite providing training opportunities for Next STEP students.
For the past 7 years Next STEP Participants have volunteered at Foodshare in our ‘Meat the Need’ program. Douglas Cooke, Foodshare Reclamation Coordinator, has supervised their involvement and represented Foodshare at the breakfast.

Peter Lynch the Next STEP Program Director said, “ Our students have gained valuable work experience, as well as, the joy one feels in giving back to the community. The Next STEP staff and students enjoy being part of a team effort to help those in need. We cherish the relationships we have formed with the other volunteers and Foodshare staff, and look forward to continuing our service for years to come”.
