This week Foodshare received a check for $10,000 from Bimbo Bakeries for last Fall’s Stroehmann Nourishing Neighbors promotion. For each package of Freihofer’s Country or Italian Bread and Thomas’ Hearty Grain or flavored English Muffins sold at participating Stop & Shop locations in MA, NY, CT and RI, Bimbo Bakeries pledged to donate $0.10 (the total of which was split between Foodshare and the Greater Boston Food Bank).
That’s a lot of bread!
