Milk donation

Guida's Dairy called us this week with an offer of a large donation of milk - 17 pallets or nearly a tractor-trailer load!  This was related to the end of the school year and schools not taking the anticipated orders for milk and Guida did not want to waste this nutritious product!

But, it was too much milk for Foodshare to distribute by it's use-by date!  So, our team called the team at Connecticut Food Bank, which serves the shoreline area and we were able to share the wealth, with 10 pallets being distributed by Foodshare in greater Hartford and 7 pallets going to Connecticut Food Bank for other parts of the state.
