"Last week I had the opportunity to thank some of the management at the Walgreens Distribution Center for their generous donations in 2013."I met with Scott Sylvester (Director of Supply Chain), and Val Novokhatskyy (CT Distribution Center Director). Val just started with Walgreens and recently moved here from Arkansas. I enjoyed the opportunity to introduce him to Foodshare and explain how Walgreen’s donations, which oftentimes includes household products, are of such great value to food insecure people in our area. Val explained to me that he was very happy to know that his new employer was doing such great things in our community. (It almost makes up for the winter weather he is going to have to learn to endure.)"
