More than food

Yesterday's New Britain Herald has a nice article about Foodshare supporting two local programs in New Britain.  But the focus was not on food, it was on Foodshare's Partnership Program which helps agencies purchase items like freezers and shelving for food storage.  Foodshare's Board of Directors created this program from the recognition that it takes more than food to end hunger.  It takes more than food just to give away food to people in need!  Freezers, refrigerators, shelving, various pieces of equipment are essential to ensure the safe distribution of the food that Foodshare is able to secure each year.
