Dari Farms is a family owned and operated distributor located in Tolland. Proud of their new, and very beautiful facility nestled into a hill in Tolland, the offered Foodshare staffer Ernie Pitti a tour. While speaking with a group of employees, they were all excited to learn what a huge role the company is playing in helping to feed food insecure families in their own communities!
Since 1997, Dari Farms has been supporting Foodshare and many of our 128,000 food insecure neighbors throughout Hartford and Tolland Counties. Over the past 15 years they have donated over 345,000 pounds of ice cream!
The Walk Against Hunger, Foodshare’s largest fundraising event takes place on Sunday, May 6th and it wouldn’t be the same without ice cream treats provided for the walkers by the team at Dari Farms. This year will be no different with their donation of almost 1,000 coconut fruit bars. Dari Farms Ice Cream Distributors, is still another example of the so many other unsung heroes in the food industry who play a tremendous role in our mission to end hunger!
