Creative fundraising!

Bob Tellar stopped by today with a $500 donation from the Brotherhood at Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford.  Bob was enthusiastic in telling me how the Brotherhood raised the money.  They run their own catering for events at the Synagogue.  Since all of the cooks and servers are volunteers, they can offer that service inexpensively, but still turn a profit.  They decided this year to split the profits between Foodshare and the Kosher Food Pantry at Jewish Family Services.
