Foodshare staff picnic

Yesterday, the team at Foodshare did something we don't do very often.  We closed down at noon and took the staff out for a picnic.  And we could not have asked for a more beautiful day for such an event!  Under the beautiful blue skies, we all headed over to Wickham Park in Manchester.

After a wonderful picnic lunch, some people played tennis, others had fun with ladder ball and water balloons, some walked around to see the gardens and aviary at the park, and others just relaxed, socialized, and had a good time.

This team of people works hard all year long and I'm so glad we can still take an afternoon off and have fun together.  One staff member sent me this e-mail this morning:

"Another spectacular Foodshare Summer Outing!  Perfect weather, great food, a wonderful location, and above all, our Foodshare Family having the opportunity to relax and have fun.  Thank you!"

And, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff who stayed behind.  Technology Services Manager Chris Franzosa stayed behind to work on our servers and Driver Paul Moreau kept the Mobile Foodshare truck running.  Thank you to Chris and Paul for holding down the fort!  And thank you to Office Adminstrator Joan Robinson for handling the logistical details of the picnic.  As you can see, a good time was had by all!
