Volunteering on the road!

Rideshare helps Foodshare on the way to company outing!

Rideshare visited Foodshare last month to explore ways for their staff to help. Several employees came to tour our facility and meet with us on potential partnership opportunities. One of the ways they decided to help was to cut up and tie mesh bags that we use to pack bulk produce donations into family sized packages. Business Development Account Manager, Jodie Hollister, came up with the innovative and fun contest she describes below:

“The Rideshare Company had a company outing on Tuesday to Stonington and Mystic. We took 2 vans with 7 people in each van. We pre-cut the roll before we left. Each van took half the roll and we had a contest to see who finished more by the time we arrived in Stonington. Much to our surprise each van finished their entire bag. So we were able to get the entire roll finished in one day. It was a company effort. The picture is in Stonington once we arrived.”

Thanks to Rideshare for making helping fun!
