A visitor from Russia

Last week, Foodshare Advocacy Manager Sarah Santora got a call from the Memorial United Methodist Church in Avon asking if she could give a tour to a visiting minister from Russia.  We are always happy to give tours of our Bloomfield distribution center, so of course, she said yes.

Rev. Oksana Petrova is pictured her with Sarah and two volunteers in the Foodshare reclamation room.  Rev. Petrova said there is nothing comparable in Russia. When Sarah asked her “Where do people in Russia go when they need food?” she looked off into the distance for a moment and  said “I don’t know.”
