Temple Sinai supports Foodshare

Many local synagogues do campaigns for Foodshare during the fall high holy days.  Recently received this note and photo from Temple Sinai in Newington:

"Congregants of Temple Sinai in Newington generously contribute to Foodshare, and this year has been no acception.  Temple Sinai is proud to announce that we raised $10,000.00 and donated 1,050 pounds of food during our annual High Holiday Food Drive this past September.  Each year during the time of Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur, temple member, Ken Speyer organizes our High Holiday food drive appeal.

"Rabbi Bennett and our congregation's mission statement has been to do mitzvahs or good deeds.  We have made a commitment to giving, and
Foodshare is such a worthy and respectable organization that we have chosen to support throughout the year.  Our next campaign will be the Turkey and $30 drive and we have a team participating each year to the Foodshare Walk Against Hunger.

"Thank you to Gloria and your wonderful staff for all that you do for the community, and Temple Sinai is proud to work with Foodshare to do our part to help those in need."
