Sherri Helget, Human Resources Manager at Engineering Services & Products Company in South Windsor stopped by with some donations today. She had previously sent us this e-mail describing how they raised the money:
"Our company is business casual except for Fridays throughout the year. I ran a fundraiser in October for Breast Cancer and said anyone who donates a dollar a day can dress casual for that day. I raised almost $2000.00. Since I saw the excitement about dressing down and the ease of raising money around it I changed it up a bit for Foodshare.
"For Foodshare I went with your Turkey and thirty campaign and said whomever donates $40.00 to Foodshare can dress casual for November and December and the person who donates the most gets their choice of parking place through December. I am currently at $2002..00 from the employee’s and the company is matching the donations.
"This is the 4th year that I have organized this fundraiser for our company and I am very excited to say this is our biggest year yet!"
In the end, the team at Engineering Services and Products raised $5,124!
