Glastonbury drive

The Glastonbury Turkey and Thirty drive was full of energy today with enthusiastic volunteers and gracious donors. Here are two stories from the sites.

When a volunteer approached a lovely older woman entering Stop & Shop today the woman said "Oh, I don't have a turkey but I did just name Foodshare in my estate planning for when I die. Thank you so much for the good work you all do!"

Then a woman in her early 50's came up with turkeys and told us that she was donating because her husband had been involved with the drive and after he died of cancer she wanted to honor his memory by participating.

Every turkey has a story!

First Church in Glastonbury had a record-setting drive!
