Despite the snow, the Mobile Foodshare site at the Charter Oak Health Center served 425 people this morning. Lining up in any kind of weather certainly speaks to people's desperation. This week, it may be worse than ever because some Mobile Foodshare site sponsors cancelled last week due to the cold.
The trucks are loaded with enough food to provide reasonable quantities for up to 200 people. When this many people are lined up, we have no choice but to give less food to each person in line.
