Upcoming personnel changes

Our best wishes to Food Sourcing Manager Ernie Pitti, who is retiring from Foodshare at the end of May.  We will miss Ernie's passion for Foodshare, his energy and always bubbling enthusiasm, and his whistling while he works!  As much as we will miss him, we certainly wish him well as he moves into this new phase of his life.  And we suspect that we might see him around once in a while.

With Ernie's transition comes another!  Paula Siebers, our current Food Sourcing Coordinator, who has been managing the volunteer retail pick-up program, will be promoted to the Food Sourcing Manager position.  Paula has done a phenominal job with the volunteer retail pick-up program, recruiting dozens of new stores and volunteers to the program, and saving thousands of pounds of food which have otherwise been wasted.  While Paula may be a bit nervous about the big shoes she has to fill, we have every confidence that she will do it and do it well.
