The Audit and Finance Committees of Foodshare's Board of Directors met together this morning to receive the audited financial reports for 2012 from our outside audit firm, Blum Shapiro.
The auditors presented a report with a clean opinion and noted that they had reviewed all of the folling in the process of their work: internal controls, including purchasing controls; bank confirmations; a full review of both property and food inventory; accounts payable and receivable; and a comparison of the 2012 budget to the actual income and expenditures.
Once this report is presented to the full Board of Directors, you will be able to review it on the Foodshare website. (In the meantime, if you are curious, the 2011 audit is already there.)
