The Foodshare Walk Against Hunger hit a milestone last week – over 100 teams have registered to participate (123 to be exact)! Way to go!
Recently, we asked first-time Walk Team Captain Ron Krom what kinds of things he is doing to get participants to join his team, St. Vincent De Paul of Middletown.
“St. Vincent de Paul Middletown may be a new benefitting agency in 2013, but we’ve got a lot of enthusiasm for the Walk. Co-Coordinators Bob Walsh and Gary Fraser have been calling, emailing and meeting with the Board, staff, volunteers, church groups, school groups and civic organizations for more than a month! We hope to bring a visible walking presence to Hartford on May 5th – no one will guess that SVD Middletown hasn’t participated for the last 15 years!”
Only 32 days left until the walk! Let’s get out there and fundraise!
