Charitable Giving in the US

Giving USA recently released its annual report on charitable giving in the United States. Did you know that 79% of charitible donations come from individual people? (72% from living individuals and 7% from bequests) 15% of charitable giving comes from foundations and 6% from corporations. This always seems to surprise people, but it doesn't surprise me at all. The vast majority of Foodshare's support comes from people like you and me, who make gifts that range from a few dollars at a time to six figure gifts. It's people, caring people, who make the difference!
