Sysco supports Foodshare

Yesterday, I stopped by for a visit with Alan Rosenblatt, President of Sysco in Rocky Hill, just to say thank you!

In 2012, Sysco donate 208,564 pounds. - enough food to make over 173,000 meals.

But Sysco doesn't stop there.  Alan volunteers on our Food Industry Council, the company donates paper goods for events, and a large team of Sysco employees takes part in the Walk Against Hunger each year.

Alan is also working with the Connecticut Restaurant Association to further engage restaurants in the work to fight hunger.

So, I guess I shouldn't say that I stopped by "just to say thank you."  I should say I stopped by to say an enthusiastic thank you to Alan and everyone at Sysco for all of their support of Foodshare's work to end hunger!
