Americans continue to show high rates of public support for government efforts to combat hunger, especially through SNAP, and high rates of opposition to SNAP cuts. Nearly 75% of American voters indicate in a recent poll taken for the Food Research and Action Council that SNAP is important for the nation. And they believe that the government should be spending more to address hunger, not less.
