Words of appreciation from a recipient

A woman named Betsy called Foodshare yesterday to tell us that she had been receiving food from both Mobile Foodshare and a local pantry and wanted to express her appreciation.  Here's what she said:

"You never know how easily it could happen to you. I never thought I would be in this situation. It’s a big wake-up call to find that you need help. I don’t want to need help; I would rather provide it, but this is what happened. I wanted to tell you because not enough people appreciate what you do. If you guys weren’t there, there are a lot of people who wouldn’t be helped. I’ll keep working on my situation, but it’s wonderful to know you are there. It means the world to me. And even if I don’t have a job I can volunteer in the community. What do they say, 'Pay it forward?' I’ve now experienced first-hand; I know what it’s like.  And I know it could happen to anyone on the street.”
