When I got back in the office today, there was a lovely hand-made holiday card from the folks at Grace Lutheran Church in Hartford. The church has a Friday evening community dinner (what some people might call a soup kitchen, but this is so much more!) and they get much of the food for the dinners from Foodshare.
The card was signed by many of the community members who rely on Grace Lutheran Church not only for a healthy, hot meal once a week, but also for that sense of connection and community that is so missing in today's world.
