Bloomfield Rotary Club supports Foodshare

Bloomfield Rotary Club President Mark Weisman stopped by Foodshare on Tuesday to present a check for $1,000.  Since I had taken the day off, Development Director Wendy Kohn stood in for me to receive the check.

I'm a member of the Bloomfield Rotary and every November, the club dedicates its "fines and happy dollars" (you Rotarians will know what that is!) to Foodshare and then the club matches what the members have donated.

Thank you so much to the Bloomfield Rotary for all of your support over the years and thank you for making the extra effort to get this donation in before the end of Foodshare's fiscal year.  As you may have heard, (here, here, and here) Foodshare was facing a deficit for the first time in our history.  We appreciate the effort to get this donation in before the year was closed out.
