1,000 hours of volunteer service!

I was pleased to present volunteer Marge Bell with a 1,000 hour pin and a Foodshare volunteer fleece jacket today.  Marge has been volunteering since 2006 and is one of the regular volunteers for data entry, including entering volunteer hours and new constituents.  She volunteers 3 times week – averaging 10-12 hours per week.  In case of data backlog or special projects, she volunteers more time to help with catch-up.  She’s also a “go to” data entry volunteer for our fundraising team during busy times like Thanksgiving, December year-end, the Walk Against Hunger, and any special project they might have.

 

Marge has not only earned the 1000 hours — in my opinion, she has earned the cape for “super volunteer” -- she’s always willing to go above and beyond when needed.
