CNG donation

Richard LoPresti, the Community and Economic Development Specialist at UIL/Connecticut Natural Gas, presented a check for $5000 to Foodshare yesterday. The donation is a cold-weather gift to assist Foodshare with ensuring that people in our community have food during these cold winter months.

We are extremely grateful to CT Natural Gas for this generous gift, particularly given the recent bad weather and extra snow days where school is cancelled. Kids who might normally get breakfast or lunch at school are left without food during snow days, so they depend on Foodshare’s partner agencies to bridge the gap. The gift from CT Natural Gas will help make sure those kids have food!
