Foodshare and The Farmer’s Cow Partner with Dave Matthews Band to raise $8,652!

Environmental nonprofit REVERB and the Dave Matthews Band continued the good work of The BamaGreen Project for their 2014 summer tour with the “Food Banks & Farms” program.  At each stop on the tour they partner with a local food bank and local farm to raise awareness, encourage sustainability and help provide food to hungry people.

This past weekend the tour stopped at the XFINITY Theater in Hartford.  Fans were able to help Foodshare’s work by purchasing custom Dave Matthews Band Nalgene water bottles for a donation of $10 or more.  In total, $8,652 was raised between the two concerts!

All of the money will be given to The Farmer’s Cow and they will then donate the equivalent amount of dairy products to Foodshare, which will allow us to provide much-needed local milk to hungry residents of Hartford and Tolland counties.
