Gardens!

Judy Hartling, Civic Affairs Senior Specialist at Cigna, dropped off a wonderful donation of $1874 on Tuesday, the proceeds from the Cigna community garden “sponsor a row” program! Judy says they squeezed in an extra row in the garden because the sponsorships were so popular.

 

Judy says their garden has been a great morale builder and a wonderful way for employees to enjoy watching healthy food grow and to give back to the community.

Judy got a “tour” of Foodshare’s new staff community garden outside our Bloomfield distribution center, and gave us some helpful advice in our inaugural effort.
