USDA and Feeding America Launch Food Waste Challenge

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has just announced the U.S. Food Waste Challenge, an effort to address food waste, Feeding America is partnering with USDA to launch a contest with the food bank network, including Foodshare. The goal is to highlight the good work food banks and food donors are doing to fight food waste by adding  food donors to the list of participants in the U.S. Food Waste Challenge. Simply by actively donating food with the Feeding America network, our food donors are eligible to be listed as participants in the U.S. Food Waste Challenge.
