Help Our Community by Voting for Foodshare!

Today is the first day of Feeding America and Walmart's 'Fight Hunger, Spark Change' campaign, and it will run through October 5th. Walmart has committed to donating $3 million to this campaign, and the 50 food banks with the most votes will each receive $60,000. The voting process takes place over Facebook, and if you don't have one - you can help by sharing the link below and urging your family, friends, and community to vote!

How to vote:

1. Go to: www.walmart.com/fighthunger
2. Log in to your Facebook account from the Walmart webpage (this is for verification purposes only - you will not be added to any future Walmart mailing lists).
3. Search for Foodshare (our zip code is 06002).
4. Click the "vote" button on Foodshare's profile. Once you've voted, click the "share" button to encourage friends and family to do the same.
5. Make sure to come back and vote once every day until October 5th!

If everyone votes once a day, that will ensure our chances of receiving this wonderful gift!

Where is the money going?

A significant portion of the money will directly benefit three of our partner agencies: Health Collective East, Channel 3 Kids Camp, and Hands On Hartford. Each of these organizations works hard every day to improve the lives of families and individuals every day, and in turn, your votes will help our community.
