SNAP NUMBERS ARE UP IN CONNECTICUT, DOWN IN REST OF US

Connecticut was one of 9 states where SNAP participation rose between July 2013 and July 2014. In the rest of the nation, SNAP participation dropped by over 1 million people during the same period.  Nearly 12,000 more people received SNAP help this July than last. That 12.7% increase was the 4^th highest in the country.
