State Senators Christopher Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, along with Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, held a press conference at the Atwater Senior Center in New Haven, CT on December 22nd to announce that Connecticut was among seven new states that will be able to participate in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). This program provides monthly food boxes to low income seniors. Foodshare, along with Connecticut Food Bank, will be distributing these commodities.
Foodshare was represented at the event by Sarah Santora, Community Involvement Manager, and Beatrice Maslowski, Community Network Builder.
