The Hartford Comes to Foodshare to Commemorate 9/11

Every year The Hartford participates in the national 9/11 Day of Service by having their employees volunteer in the community. This year, one of the places they did that service was Foodshare. Today 72 Hartford employees came to our Bloomfield building and the facility at the Hartford Public Market, where they sorted produce and helped pack boxes of food for the Commodities Supplemental Food Program. This is a federal program that brings food to low-income seniors, and Foodshare started working with that program this year. The Hartford staff working in Bloomfield included the CEO of the company, Chris Swift, and his wife, Mary.
