Sunday was a blustery day in East Hartford, but our loyal friends from the Hartford Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) showed they had warmth in their hearts as they faithfully supported their annual turkey drop benefiting Foodshare. This year’s event was hosted by our friends at Gengras Harley-Davidson, and netted 32 turkeys and more than $500. All of the turkeys and non-perishables were donated to food pantries and shelters in East Hartford: First Congregational Church East Hartford, EHIM – Friendship Center, St. Mary’s and St. Rose/St Issac Jogues.
The event was attended by our President and CEO, James Arena-DeRosa, and Al Marino. We were fortunate to have some of our media friends show up as well -- The Whale 102.9, NBC 30 and Fox CT. Many thanks to Bob from Gengras Harley, Will Little from Hartford H.O.G., Rich Bebee from First Congregational Church and Pam Douglas from EHIM – Friendship Center.
