Surprise, 100 turkeys from New Britain's Grace Church!

We were greeted first thing this morning with a surprise donation of 100 turkeys from New Britain’s Grace Church!

Grace Church joined on as a Foodshare partner this summer, when last-minute construction in New Britain nearly closed a Mobile Foodshare site. But with over 150 people counting on us, a new location was the highest priority. In less than 3 weeks, Foodshare staff and dedicated community members secured a new site hosted by Grace Church at Bosco Drive, just blocks away from the retired site so visitors wouldn’t need to find a new transportation route. Pastor Mills from Grace Church told us it was an easy decision for him, “Foodshare does so much for the city of New Britain that Grace Church wants to do something to give back.”
