While here, Shannon toured the warehouse to learn more about how we are trying to solve hunger. “I have never experienced hunger and I want to do more to help!” she said. Many thanks to volunteers like Shannon who not only work full-time, but devote their spare hours to helping others. Foodshare volunteers are the best!

Volunteers really do DO everything!
Foodshare welcomes our newest enthusiastic Mass Mutual volunteer, Shannon Elmlinger. Shannon returned to Foodshare this week with 826 mesh bags cut, tied and sorted into 50 piece bundles. Mesh bags are used to bundle produce for distribution through our Mobile Foodshare program. She also took another box of mesh to cut and tie saying that while she is watching TV at night it’s easy for her to work on them and has even enlisted her husband to help!
