Meet Us Where We Are

HartBeat Ensemble presents Meet Us Where We Are, an Asylum Hill Neighborhood Investigative Project, for three performances: February 5 at 7:30pm, February 6 at 7:30pm and February 7 at 2:00pm. All performances will include a community conversation focused on Hartford’s Asylum Hill neighborhood following the show.

Meet Us Where We Are is a civic theater experience in two acts: half of the program will be a scripted performance using the interviews that HartBeat assembled from residents of South Marshall Street in Asylum Hill. The second half of the program will be a live, unscripted civic dialogue. This will give the audience an opportunity to listen and then speak their minds on the issues that have been raised. Civic leaders and residents will discuss action plans for the future of the neighborhood.
