Summer Meals Madness

Too often no school means no food, but it doesn't have to be that way. Thanks to the Summer Food Service Program, funded by the USDA, many sites open their doors June-August to ensure low-income children up to age 18 have access to nutritious meals for free!

Last Friday kicked off Foodshare's newest initiative, #SummerMealsMadness -- a series of basketball events to inform, engage and excite kids across the region. In partnership with Fox61, iHeart Media and Stop & Shop, this event puts the spotlight on child hunger, with a goal of building excitement about this federally-funded program.

There is no charge and it’s not necessary to pre-register. These events are open to all kids 18 & under.  Learn more >
