Celebrating Then & Now

This past Tuesday, the entire Foodshare staff gathered together to celebrate some amazing accomplishments over the past 35 years. It was also an opportunity to look ahead to our future as a leader against hunger here at home.

It began with a brief history to illustrate the evolution of our work, which began in 1982 and has since developed into a strong network of partners, advocates, volunteers and donors, all joining together to improve the health and well-being of our community.

During the presentation Communications Manager, Amanda Renna, revealed a new logo that will be rolled out to the public later this spring. Jack Hackendorn, Foodshare's Interim President and CEO, offered his thanks to the group for their valuable input and support in making all of this possible.

Following the presentation, staff broke into small groups for a team building activity, to show how important each and every person is to the success of the organization. Winning team members were awarded a medal and the honor of being addressed as "Your Majesty" for the rest of the day.

In recognition of our staff's hard work and commitment to Foodshare's mission, each attendee received an Oscar to proudly display, along with a slice of delicious cake. Needless to say, it was an amazing afternoon, with an amazing group of people!
