The staff at Foodshare has a long tradition of having a Thanksgiving luncheon, complete with turkey and all the trimmings, just before the busy "Turkey and a Twenty" season begins.
This is part social event and part pep rally for the weeks ahead, but it was originally conceived by our Diversity Committee. The thinking was that while almost everyone eats turkey on Thanksgiving day, we have a variety of side dishes and desserts to complete the meal. Sebastian, the chef at the House of Bread in Hartford prepares the turkey for us and then everyone on the staff brings in something to share.
From the looks of the food and the crowd, a good time was had by all. The only question is, with all that turkey in our systems, how will we get any work done this afternoon?
