Sesame Street tackles issue of hunger

Even Sesame Street knows how important it is to help our hungry neighbors. With hunger now impacting 1 in 4 children in our country, it has become a widespread epidemic that can impact anyone at anytime. “Growing Hope Against Hunger” aired Sunday evening as a one-hour special focused on raising awareness, and offering strategies to families who find themselves facing this overwhelming challenge. Made possible by the generous support of WalMart, it also introduces a new Muppet named Lily, whose family experiences an ongoing struggle with hunger.
