Sysco, involved with Foodshare in a variety of ways

Food Donations Manager Ernie Pitti is still out there on the road and today sent me a message about a meeting with the new President at Sysco in Rocky Hill:

“SYSCO has been a tremendous supporter of Foodshare  since before 1999, recovering and donating food, participating in the Food Industry’s Convoy of Caring, actively participating on the  Food industry Advisory Council, forming a very successful  Walk Against Hunger Team  (of over 70 walkers), providing a group of volunteers every month at Foodshare's facility at the Regional Market, and many many other things. So when Alan Rosenblatt became the new president, we were extremely excited to meet and thank him for all his company’s involvement, and to let him know, like any good partner, that Foodshare will be there to help SYSCO in any way we could, as Alan starts to envision other roles his company could play in our mission to end hunger.

"Meeting Alan was indeed a pleasure. An engaging man newly relocated with his family from the Baltimore area, Alan comes to the Rocky Hill facility (and our organization as well) with over 20 years experience at SYSCO already.  With a good number of ideas of his own, Alan will definitely carry on the longstanding relationship that SYSCO has had wiht Foodshare, with perhaps a new vision or  perspective.

"Welcome Alan (and family) and thank you for all that SYSCO continues to do as well as for all the promise the future holds with you as a partner.”
