Governor's Care and Share

I was pleased to join Governor Malloy this afternoon as he wrapped up the "Governor's Care and Share," a state-wide food and fund drive among state employees.

And what a success it was!  State employees raised over $38,000 to support Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank, including a successful volley ball tournament that raised $1,000 more than last year.

A new feature this year was the Governor's Trophy, presented to the agency that raised the most money.  Governor Malloy presented the trophy to the Department of Correction, who raised nearly about one-quarter of the total!  Thank you and congratulations to all!
