At lunch time today at Foodshare, we celebrated with two of our staff who are expecting in the next few weeks. Miguel knows he is having a girl, scheduled to be delivered next week, and Carrie is having a boy, due in early July.
Many staff members chipped in to provide them with some appropriate baby gifts and then Arelys fashioned these gifts into two "diaper cakes." As you can see, the tiers are made from disposable diapers, and the inside of the "cake" was stuffed with an assortment of other baby items.
The rest of the staff had managed to keep the whole thing a secret and even devised ways to get the two parents-to-be into the meeting room today to surprise them.
