Kindergartners tour Foodshare

Many thanks to the Kindergartners of St. Gabriel School in Windsor who toured Foodshare last week. After organizing a jelly drive in support of the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank (which I blogged about in early May), the kids wanted to know more about the work that we do.

The highlight appeared to the our giant freezer and when asked what they learned, one girl replied, “I learned that when ice cream cake is not kept in the freezer, it becomes an ice cream puddle.” But I’m pretty sure they came away with more than that, and I look forward to hearing about their next community project!
