Pepperidge Farms donates

Food Donations Manager, Paula Siebers, sent me this note and photo about how she spent part of her day:

"I had the opportunity to present our 2013 Annual Recognition to Pepperidge Farms in Bloomfield today.  The HR department, Doreen Ciaccio, Melissa Bury and Irina Pasternak, were so excited about their sign that they ran it down to the cafeteria and asked those that make the bread to share in their excitement!

"We are thrilled to have Pepperidge Farm as a great supporter- they bring a group over to volunteer on a regular basis,  always have a Walk team in the Walk Against Hunger,  and last year they donated enough food to allow us to provide 158,000 meals!"

While Paula was doing that, I was giving a tour of Foodshare's Bloomfield distribution center and when we reached the volunteer work area, we watched a large group of volunteers packing hundreds and hundreds of loaves of Pepperidge Farm bread to get it ready for distribution to people in need!
